I've Started Meditating
Today I decided to start a daily meditation habit. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now. I’m going to be using Sam Harris’ guided meditation app called Waking Up. What finally got me to commit was an article today in Inc magazine. It mentioned a Harvard study that showed meditating 30 minutes a day for eight weeks makes the brain measurably younger.
From what I have read, many people find it difficult to focus without distraction for even 5 minutes let alone 30. The introductory lesson included only 5 minutes which I found quite easy. It is my hope that after a few weeks, the benefits of mediation will be as obvious to me as they are to Sam Harris.
